Our Objectives...

1. The principal objective is to develop technological capability within the country through the use of pilot plants as a tool for human resource development as well as for process research, development and design. Emphasis will be initially given to important industries such as food and agroindustries, biotechnology industries, manufacturing industries, electronic industries, petrochemical industries, etc.

2. The pilot units will also serve as a physical model on how factories of small and medium scale industry can be designed,fabricated and operated. As Thailand is committed towards promoting small and medium scale industry, especially in provincial areas, such model will be highly applicable for future industrialization in provincial Thailand.

3. Through its contacts with overseas technology and expertise the development and training center will serve as a local technical consultancy unit to small and local entrepreneurs, who normally have no access to overseas expertise and off-shore technology transfer. Moreover, the facilities can be used for pre-service and in-service training required in responding to changes in technology.
