Preface from the Director

PDTI, the KMITT Pilot Plant and Training Institute was established as an autonomous body in July 1990. Now in its fifth year of operations, PDTI has grown substantially and has achieved national recognition and respect in the competitive field of pilot plant and R,D & E.

PDTI’s skills in project management, together with a keen sense for commercial viability, will ensure that Thailand’s strengths in pilot plant R,D&E are fully developed. PDTI’s mission is to become a profitable autonomous body in bioprocesses and pilot plant development through research and engineering development in collaboration with government agencies such as National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) and the private sector. Based on our past performance and experience, we are able to attract top-notch engineers and scientists to join us in providing training, services and consultancy which lead to technology transfer from PDTI to the private sector. We believe that PDTI will grow substantially in the future and will become an excellent technology transfer center in this region.
