Retort Operation Control System:

RetortOp

RetortOp is a retort control system for management/supervision and control of retort lines in food processing factories. The system is easy to use and especially suited to multi-product operations. With this system, performance of the retort operation is enhanced and human-error due to manual operation is reduced.

RetortOpTM has been developed for management/supervision and control of retort lines in food processing factories. The system consists of two parts data acquisition, which can be easily converted to Lotus or Excel, and control software and the interface hardware. Only one computer is required to control a large number of retorts simultaneously at a wide range of speeds. The real time display is available to the supervisor in graphic mode and may also be permanently stored in user-defined files. It can provide both automatic and manual control. The automatic compensation of cooking/processing time is used where sterilization is insufficient.

Research Work in Progress
